Programme Overview

Recognising and rewarding academic excellence

  • Paragon ISC is pleased to announce the Grade 7 Scholarship Examination 2026, a merit-based scholarship programme for students entering Grade 7.
  • The programme identifies outstanding learners and supports their continued education at Paragon ISC through Grades 7, 8, and 9.

A total of 15 scholarships will be awarded based on examination performance across two papers: Mathematics and English.

Eligibility

Who can apply

1

The applicant must be entering Grade 7 in the upcoming academic year.

The applicant must have successfully completed Grade 6 with a satisfactory academic record.

A completed application form and all required documents must be submitted before the registration deadline.

Both NEW applicants and current Paragon ISC students are eligible to sit for the examination.

5

Each candidate may sit the Grade 7 Scholarship Examination only once per intake.

Selection Process

How scholarships are awarded

Ranking

Candidates are ranked by combined total score (Mathematics + English), out of 200 marks.

Tier Allocation

The top 15 candidates receive scholarships in descending order, following the 100/90/80/70/60% tier structure.

Tiebreakers

In case of a tie:
(1) higher Mathematics score,
(2) higher English writing-task score,
(3) earlier registration date.

Minimum Threshold

Only candidates scoring at least 60% (120/200) qualify. If fewer than 15 meet the threshold, remaining scholarships are not awarded.

The decision of the Paragon ISC Scholarship Committee is final and not subject to appeal.

Terms & Conditions

Maintaining the scholarship Part 1 of 2

Duration of the scholarship

Covers Grades 7, 8 & 9 only.

Does not extend to Grade 10 or beyond.

Coverage

Tuition fees only.

Registration, books, uniforms, transport and activity fees are not included.

03

Academic Performance

Maintain an annual overall average of 80% with no failing grade in any term.

Attendance

Maintain a minimum 95% attendance rate, excluding documented medical leave.

Annual Review

Scholarship status is reviewed at the end of each academic year by the Committee.

Behavior

Maintain no DPS and Discipline issues throughout each year.

Checkpoint Requirement

To secure the scholarship, students must achieve Cambridge Checkpoint exam results of at least B, A and A in Grade 8 (English, Math, Science)

Non-Transferable

Awarded to the named student only. Cannot transfer to a sibling or another student.

Withdrawal

If the student withdraws from Paragon ISC, the scholarship is automatically terminated.

No Cash Value

The scholarship has no cash equivalent and cannot be exchanged, refunded, or carried over.

Re-Examination

Candidates may not re-sit the examination within the same intake to upgrade their tier.

Cambridge Checkpoint

Scholarship students must achieve minimum computed scores of B, A and A to secure their scholarship.

12

Final Authority

Paragon ISC reserves the right to amend these terms. Committee decisions are final and binding.

Follow-Up Process

From registration through enrolment and beyond

1

Exam Registration

Submit application form with required documents at the Admissions Office or online.

Confirmation

Receive Exam Admission Ticket with venue and seat details five working days before exam.

3

Examination Day

Arrive 30 minutes early with ID and stationery. No calculators or electronic devices allowed.

4

Results

Results published within 10 working days. Winners notified by phone and email; full list posted publicly.

5

Acceptance

Confirm within 7 working days by signing the Scholarship Acceptance Agreement, or the offer is forfeited.

6

Enrolment

Complete Grade 7 enrolment formalities. Family receives an official Scholarship Confirmation Letter.

Annual Monitoring

Committee reviews academic performance, attendance and behavior each year of the scholarship period.

Throughout the three-year period, scholarship renewal status is communicated formally to families before each new academic year.

Monitoring & Parent Communication

Ongoing oversight throughout the scholarship period

Academic Monitoring

Student performance will be reviewed at the end of every term.

Academic coordinators will monitor grades, attendance, and behavior.

Parent Communication

Parents will receive periodic progress updates.

Meetings may be scheduled if academic performance declines.
