Khmer Language Programme for International Students

Understanding Cambodia. Connecting with Culture. Building Global Citizenship.

Paragon ISC believes that learning Khmer is essential for international students living and studying in Cambodia. The programme helps students build communication skills, deepen cultural understanding, and meet the Ministry of Education requirements for diploma equivalency in the International Programme. Our Khmer Language Programme supports students from different linguistic backgrounds and is designed to be accessible, supportive, and responsive to individual needs.

Why Khmer Language Matters

1. Essential for Diploma Equivalency

International Programme students who wish to earn the Ministry of Education’s equivalency diploma must complete Khmer Language, Khmer History, and Culture classes. This ensures full recognition of their high school diploma in Cambodia, qualifying them for admission to local universities and employment opportunities.

2. Stronger Integration Into Cambodian Life

International students benefit socially and academically when they can understand basic Khmer communication in daily life.

3. Promotes Respect and Global Citizenship

Learning the national language fosters appreciation for Cambodia’s culture, history, and identity—core values in our Guiding Statements.
